Lyman Mlambo

Lyman Mlambo is the current Zimbabwe Country Manager for African Extractivism and the Green Transition Project funded by the SSHRC Partnership Grant. He is also an independent mining policy consultant, an Assessor at the Administrative Court of Zimbabwe and an Adjunct Lecturer of Mineral Economics at the University of Zimbabwe (Department of Economics and Development). Lyman was a Mineral Economics Research Fellow and Chairperson of the Institute of Mining Research (University of Zimbabwe) for several years. He has published extensively in mineral economics and resource governance, receiving several awards as a result. He has been a researcher under the Resource Nationalism in Southern Africa (a research project also funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, SSHRC). His current research interests include artisanal and small-scale mining, mining economic linkages, local content policies, and critical minerals and the green transition.
