Racheal Chagonja

Recognized for her leadership in policy reform and sustainable governance, Ms. Racheal Chagonja is a development and governance expert with over 10 years of experience in institutional leadership, sustainability, and resource governance. Her expertise spans policy reform, program management, and strategic consultancy, where she has successfully aligned organizational missions with evolving sustainability standards.

Racheal has spearheaded high-impact projects, including policy reforms on transparency and accountability, climate change, gender and human rights, local content, and sustainable development. She has led advocacy campaigns that resulted insignificant policy changes within national and international extractive industries. Additionally, she has presented research and policy papers on transparency, accountability, and sustainability at local and regional levels. Her work is deeply rooted in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), promoting transparency, responsible business practices, and inclusive community engagement.

In addition to her leadership roles, Racheal has collaborated with international and local stakeholders, driving initiatives that enhance governance and social inclusion in resource management. Her efforts have not only influenced policy but also fostered partnerships that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.
